**About us**

**Priority One First Aid Services**was founded to provide organizations sponsoring special events in the Ottawa area with a reliable and experienced “Advanced First Aid” team.**

When hosting or attending events participants, volunteers, spectators and workers are at risk to the possibility of an accident or medical emergency. Having first-aider's on-site provides prompt and efficient care, reducing pain and suffering and in some instances can also save lives. We pride ourselves on the delivery of a flexible, high quality service which adapts to the changing needs of the event or venue, no matter how large or small.

Priority One First Aid Services provides on-site Advanced First-Aiders who can deal with most types of medical emergencies. By providing on-scene treatment, we can quickly evaluate medical status and, if further medical care is required, contact local EMS services to arrange for transport and further care.

All first aiders are fully insured for both General Liability and Medical Liability while representing Priority One.

We have over 15 years experience co-ordinating first aid for special events such as:

- festivals / conventions / trade shows
- BMX Bike races
- Audience and staff coverage at the National Arts Centre
- Drag Racing
- Equestrian competitions
- Paintball competitions
- Canada Day celebrations
- soccer / ultimate tournaments
- speed skating
- walks or runs
- marathons and triathlons
- bike races

Most shifts are in the evenings or on weekends.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Secondary School (required)

- Current FR, MFR or EMR certification (required)
- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
- OH&S (preferred)
