Misericordia Terrace is a 97-unit housing project specially designed for older adults seeking independent living with on-site quality services including two meals served each day in the building’s dining room, weekly housekeeping for each apartment, and planned social/recreational activities. It is located at 691 Wolseley Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is owned by Misericordia Corporation. Misericordia Corporation is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Misericordia Health Centre.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management or health care management and three (3) to five (5) years experience in managing multi-unit residential accommodation and supervising staff, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the seniors housing sector and the special needs of the elderly. Familiarity with computer accounting/bookkeeping programs. A valid Manitoba driver’s licence. This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. Must be bondable.

**POSITION**:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the facility in accordance with objectives, policies and operating procedures established by Misericordia Corporation.
- Responsible for leasing and dealing with all aspects of landlord/tenant relations. The incumbent conducts interviews with new tenants and their families completing required paperwork and on-going documentation. The incumbent is also responsible as the ongoing liaison for the tenant and their families participating in decision-making related to tenant concerns, health and safety, continuous quality improvement and financial, risk and human resources management.
- Responsible for financial accounting including but not limited to accounts receivable and payable and for ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Responsible for supervising staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and determining/scheduling appropriate staffing levels.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships within the facility as well as with external resources, community agencies and community health care providers, delivering services to the facility.
- Responsible for collecting and maintaining financial, human resource and statistical information used to evaluate overall effectiveness, tenant satisfaction and compliance with facility objectives. Prepare and present reports to the Executive Director as required.
- Represent the facility both formally and informally in a professional manner.
- Carry out other tasks as may occur from time to time as directed by the Executive Director.
**SALARY**:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
**START DATE**:
This position is anticipated to begin March 1, 2023. Exact start date to be determined.
**BUILDING START-UP**:
Applicants should be aware that during final stages of construction the Administrator will be responsible for start-up activities such as initial staffing, signing initial leases with tenants, coordinating initial move-ins, initiating accounting procedures, and establishing proper record keeping.
