The **Wedding, Banquet & Event Sales Manager** is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing large social/catering-related opportunities targeting weddings, holiday parties, social accounts, markets and segments. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity and achieves personal and team related revenue goals. This position is accountable for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Takes initiative to help clients manage the business process, setting and meeting client expectations and delivering results according to budget
- Conducts site tours
- Plans and contracts the customer's program/event, managing the success of the program/event and measuring service effectiveness
- Responds to incoming group/catering opportunities for the Golf Club
- Identifies new group/catering business to achieve revenue goals
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
- Closes the best opportunities for the Golf Club based on market conditions and Golf Club needs
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips and trade shows
- Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for group/catering sales opportunities
- Monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and golf course occupancy
- Uses sales resources and administrative and support staff effectively
- Serves our customers in order to grow share of the account
- Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked including generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence
- Gains understanding of the Golf Club’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program/event
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:
