**Help build a network of support for young Manitobans seeking integrated and accessible mental health, substance use and overall wellness services**

**Note** - This is a one-year term position, with the possibility of an extension.

The Huddle initiative is a platform for complex, multi-stakeholder systems transformation and collective impact. The overall goal of the initiative is to fundamentally transform how Manitoba youth and families access and experience youth mental health, substance use and overall wellness supports and services. Manitoba’s Huddle initiative is grounded in the internationally recognized Integrated Youth Services (IYS) model and movement, and works closely with similar initiatives across Canada through a federal network known as the Federation of Integrated Youth Services Networks (FIYSN)

United Way Winnipeg serves as the Administrative Host and Backbone Team for the Manitoba’s Huddle initiative. This role involves convening multiple partners and stakeholders and driving transformational systems change through: inclusive, culturally-sensitive and meaningful engagement of IYS partners including youth, families, service providers, policy makers and funders; systems thinking, continuous improvement and social innovation, including change management and sophisticated co-design processes; research, resource development, communication and knowledge mobilization; and, comprehensive, measurement-based evaluation, reporting and service planning.

As a member of the Huddle Backbone Team, the Communications & Engagement Manager provides coordination, expertise and support to the Backbone Team and members of the Huddle Network in the areas of strategic communications and broad-based stakeholder engagement and relationship building.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Huddle, this role will:
1. Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Huddle initiative’s strategic communications strategy, with a focus on building awareness of IYS in Manitoba and promoting the Huddle brand identity.

2. Coordinate the development and implementation of Huddle priority / project specific communications strategies (eg Measurement Based Care) using social media and other channels, to engage youth, families, service providers and other stakeholders as appropriate.

3. Coordinate the development and production of all Huddle communications materials, including brochures, posters, reports, and branded promotional items.

4. Coordinate and support content development and monitoring for the initiative’s web presence and social media platforms, including providing guidance, feedback and consultation focused on achieving broad reach to the intended audience.

5. Work with the Huddle Backbone Team and IYS hub sites to ensure all IYS materials, documents and platforms accurately represent a youth/lived experience perspective.

6. Work with initiative partners and the Executive Director, Huddle to develop, implement evaluate and continuously improve a comprehensive approach to engagement of youth, families and caregivers, utilizing the principles of Integrated Youth Services (IYS).

7. Establish, coordinate and / or provide ongoing support to the initiative’s youth and family advisory tables, including an initiative-wide Youth Advisory Committee, with youth representatives from across the province, that will help guide the development of the initiative’s overall IYS vision and strategic priorities.

8. Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, meetings, learning opportunities, travel, honorariums and other logistics for these youth and family engagement tables.

9. Support the initiative’s work in engaging youth and families in all phases of the development, operations and evaluation of the Huddle initiative’s new and existing Huddle youth hub sites.

10. Facilitate integration of youth and family perspectives on Huddle IYS focused committees, working groups and partnership opportunities, both provincially and at a national level.

11. Represent the youth perspective on IYS panels and working groups as appropriate.

12. Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders to increase awareness of and support for the Huddle initiative.

13. Collect and catalogue stories about the Huddle IYS experience from young people, families, service providers and other stakeholders for inclusion in communication materials.

14. Work with the Huddle Backbone Team, Network and initiative partners to support tracking and reporting on IYS impact and the progress towards key deliverables as detailed in the Backbone team’s strategic plan and Service Agreement(s).
