Join our team at Travel Manitoba as an Assistant, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our efforts to build support for tourism and leverage investments to achieve our corporate objectives. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement, this position will provide administrative coordination and support to assist in the delivery of communications and corporate events for all target audiences including corporate, industry, government, and the public. The incumbent will contribute to the execution of various communication projects for the organization, aid in achieving revenue generation targets, and participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives assigned by the Vice-President. The Assistant, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement interfaces with all divisions within the organization to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.

**Responsibilities**:

- Taking direction from the Vice-President, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement, provides administrative assistance including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence efficiently using organizational tools and communication platforms, which help ensure efficient operations within the division.
- Maintains positive connections, promotes collaboration, and ensures alignment across divisions by acting as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, requests, and communications related projects and initiatives.
- Supports the execution of communications and design projects and collaborates with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational messaging and branding guidelines.
- Assists in planning, organizing, and executing corporate events and provides on-site support during events, as necessary.
- Writes correspondence and coordinates translation of documents.
- Prepares agendas, takes, and distributes minutes; may play a role in coordinating follow up on key action items.
- Performs administrative functions such as coordinating approvals, amalgamating reports, using the financial systems, and coordinating travel and meetings.
- Contribute to the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at achieving organizational goals by assisting in activities such as research, data analysis, etc.
- Assists and supports activities related to the execution of revenue-generating efforts and initiatives, as necessary.
- Serves as a liaison between the Communications & Stakeholder Engagement division and other divisions within the organization.
- Inputs, tracks, and monitors the Communications & Stakeholder Engagement team’s projects and deliverables and ensure timely execution.
- Supports the design team and assists with digital asset management.
- Processes invoices and expense reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as required/assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum one year related administrative experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a positive and professional attitude and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of marketing is an asset
- Knowledge of the tourism industry is an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with communication management tools/programs and social media platforms
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

**Salary**: $44,756.00-$58,897.00 per year
