**Overview**
The Manager, People & Culture will oversee all aspects of the HR function within the organization and assist in the development of the HR strategy, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll processing, and compliance with labour laws and regulations.You will provide consultative HR support to business priorities and drive growth & value. Leverage relationships across various HR partners and functions to drive an integrated and collaborative approach to create and deliver people solutions.
**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Talent**
- Talent acquisition - Supports line managers to plan workforce needs and to ensure on time recruiting of staff
- Ensures all Managers have the right competencies and tools to perform a professional recruitment process
- Talent Development - Lead the training and development function for the organization
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line managers (e.g., coaching, counselling. development, disciplinary actions)
- Lead the Annual Performance Review process
- Support retention initiatives
**Planning**
- Partner with business leaders to meet critical timelines and deliverables for HR initiatives and periodic reporting requirements
- Provides guidance and input on business unit organizational structures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Partner with and support the broader HR team to develop and implement specific plans to meet the needs of the business
**Total Rewards**
- Total Rewards - Manage the annual merit process and ensure we maintain employment equity
- Develop human resources solutions and solve people-related business challenges by collecting and analyzing data, and recommending courses of action
- Complete assigned HR projects by clarifying objectives, setting clear timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing, and organizing information, analyzing results, and preparing final findings and recommendations
**Employee Relations**
- Liaise with supervisors to prepare constructive corrective action documentation and ensure proper processes are adhered to and records kept
- Conduct investigations in a timely manner and close out all reports
**Culture**
- Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting open communication and resolving employee concerns
- Support Engagement Surveys and/or Pulse Surveys including administration, analyzing data, reporting and action planning to ensure opportunities are being addressed
**Other**
- Assist with the planning, development, refinement and implementation of HR related programs and procedure; collaborate with special projects as required.
- Strategically apply, monitor, and enforce employment laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health and community and act to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviors do not occur.
- Update and develop HR polices related to legislative changes and any internal changes.
- Other such duties as may be assigned.

- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making
- Monitors and tracks performance on applicable indicators, and addresses any issues.
- Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of the HR strategy
**Recipe for Success**:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
- Five to six years of generalist Human Resources experience including experience leading a team
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make recommendations to drive continuous improvement in HR practices
- Proficiency with MS Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel
- Advanced knowledge of local, provincial and federal employment laws and regulations
- Collaborative, professional team player with judgement to handle sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy and high ethical standards
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and cross-cultural awareness
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take initiative and ownership for a wide range of responsibilities.
