**Job Description**:
Reports to: National Sales Manager, Telecom
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage sales strategies for the Territory's Telecommunications market focused on ensuring Noramco Telecom achieves significant market share of the territory's Telecommunication and Broadband Product Distribution by performing the following:
- Establish and / or maintain a Vendor / Customer relationship with Tier One Telecommunication Companies
- Develop and / or grow sales with Tier One Telecommunication Companies
- Expand our network of Regional Service Providers
- Expand our Telecom Contractor Customer Base
- Assist managing local vendor relationships to ensure Noramco Telecom is viewed as a prominent partner for distribution of Telecom Products. Large projects and branch inventories will be leveraged with strategic vendor partners to ensure we consistently receive competitive pricing.
- Work in conjunction with the local Business Centre Manager to ensure an efficient flow of inventory is maintained at each branch. Coordinate communication between the Business Centre Manager and our Telecom Vendors to manage product lines that we distribute. Ensure slow-moving inventory is managed and commodity items are in adequate supply. Work with the Business Centre Manager to redistribute inventory as required.
DUTIES:
- Ensure all job functions are performed in accordance to the Guillevin Standard Practice Instruction (SPI) Manual;
- Work with the National Sales Manager to develop strategic initiatives focused on achieving sales goals;
- Manage sales and expense budgets to realize our annual forecasted objectives;
- Work with the National Sales Manager to manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction;
- Work with others on the Noramco Telecom team to provide consistent and accurate sales forecasting;
- Assist the National Sales Manager to compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions;
- Contact current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and / or new products;
- Respond to and processes incoming inquiries and orders;
- Coordinate the opening of new accounts and maintain the existing customer base in your territory;
- Provide basic technical support on products when customer inquiries are directed to you;
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships focused on ensuring repeat opportunities, which may include the following:
- Developing customer appreciation events;
- Participating in customer-hosted employee events;
- Coordinating vendor-sponsored activities;
- Liaise with suppliers on projects and provide insight and advice regarding non-stocking product opportunities;
- Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to the Telecom Management Team;
- Work closely with the marketing department to establish successful support programs;
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities;
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships;
- Coordinate and assist, where necessary, the various functions in office sales and administration, including:
- Liaising with operations and purchasing personnel;
- Providing pricing quotations and following-up on opportunities, when necessary;
- Administering the opening of new accounts and maintaining existing customer-account databases;
- Work respectfully and diligently to grow existing business by promoting Noramco Telecom products and consistently offer our expertise and service;
- Deal with every customer complaint in an expedient manner and ensure they are satisfied with our resolve;
- Ensure superior customer service is the objective during each customer interface;
- Prospect and develop new business through a strategic process of warm and colds calls;
- Remain up-to-date on various product lines by actively and aggressively pursuing formalized vendor training programs and informal product research;
- Stay informed of sales objectives, targeted product lines, required market-intel, vendor objectives, and competitor activities and actively promote new knowledge to management and teammates as deemed necessary;
- Stay current in your profession and enroll in continuing education focused on leadership skills and account management principals:
- Continuously develop knowledge of products to remain up to date with various product lines (including vendor training) and industry changes;
- Perform any other duties as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field;
- Minimum five years experience in sales manager position;
- Strong leadership, negotiating and supervisory skills;
- Exceptional organization and strong analytic proficiencies;
