Il ponte is an upscale Italian restaurant located in the lower east side of the city. We are currently seeking a head Chef to lead all systems, routines and day-to-day Culinary operations. We have an Italian Kitchen and menu full of interesting and classic dishes that highlight the wonderful food of both Northern and Southern Italy. It is crucial that our kitchen staff is familiar & specialized with Italian ingredients & dishes. This role requires the the maintenance and implementation of all culinary operations, including: creating creative dishes, specials and menus, recruiting and training of kitchen associates, ordering and inventory support. The head Chef empowers their team to provide world-class customer service to guests while taking great care of our equipment and facilities.

Your Responsibilities
- Teach, mentor and motivate the kitchen staff to uphold and exceed the highest standards of communication, quality, consistency, and execution
- Accountable for meeting or exceeding food cost, labor cost, and other operating expense forecast
- Support team and delegate kitchen team members with daily tasks to ensure readiness for service
- Work independently with mínimal or no supervision

Our Requirements
- 5+ years experience in service and hospitality management positions
- Maintain proper food certifications specific to State Laws
- Ability to be a leader with a desire to educate and empower team members, creating accountability standards
- Strong attention to operational and administrative detail
- Exemplary interpersonal communication skills
- Team player with enthusiastic outlook and creative mind

Our Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$72,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

**Experience**:
