The Youth in Transition (YIT) Branch within Children & Family Services leads the development and delivery of initiatives and programming that support youth and young adults in care, and from care as they transition to adulthood. The Youth Strategies Unit, within YIT operates a number of programs and initiatives focused on education, employment, and the Registered Education Saving Plan Program (RESP) for children and youth in care, and young adults as they transition to adulthood.

**Role**:
This position’s primary purpose is to ensure that each eligible PGA/PGO child and youth in the permanent care of the Office of the Statutory Child Intervention Director has an individual Social Insurance Number and subsequent RESP account established in order to access available government educational incentives and save for costs associated with post-secondary education.

In addition the position is responsible to lead the day to day operation of the CFS RESP program; responding to client requests and inquiries, managing all CFS RESP accounts in consultation with the Royal Bank of Canada/Service Canada, as well as in the CFS electronic information system, and provide direction and advice to the manager of Youth Strategies on policy and practice matters pertaining to the CFS RESP program, including information management, process updates, program functioning and responding to inquiries from Ministry leadership.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will facilitate the troubleshooting and resolve client RESP account concerns to enhance client service and access to funding opportunities.
- As the RESP Advisor you will be responsible for the creation, data entry of information, maintenance and updating of program databases.
- You will coordinate all projects related to the RESP Program, planning and organizing the work of all people involved.
- You will be responsible to collect and track CFS RESP program outcome data.
- You will informally supervise and oversee work performed by temporary administrative staff that assist with the RESP Program projects.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in a related field plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

If you are an HSW3 interested in this role you must be delegated or have been in the role for a minimum of one year

$2,646.59 to $3,471.47 bi-weekly ($69,075 - $90,605/year)
