Reporting to the Manager, Fraud Risk Modelling & Data Science, your will support the team and the organization by detecting, preventing, and investigating fraudulent activity within the Propel portfolio. Additionally, you are a problem solver who is investigative by nature, possess a precise attention to detail and has strong motivational and collaboration skills.

**Responsibilities**
- Analyzing suspicious behaviour or patterns that might indicate fraud
- Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions to support strategic fraud risk management initiatives
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in fraud risk and related fields to continuously improve our fraud risk management strategies
- Investigates high-risk situations to determine fraud characteristics, determine the fraud type, and determine any appropriate treatments
- Resolves reports of identity theft reported by consumers or fraud flags generated by Propel’s automated fraud detection systems
- Conducts investigations with moderate supervision, following facts and evidence to appropriate conclusions
- Creates reports or dashboards about high fraud risk trends
- Assist in adhering to Propel's procedures, legal mandates, and the highest industry standards when it comes to Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Anti-Terrorism Financing (ATF) processes
- Support the Manager, Fraud Risk Modelling & Data Science

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience / certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fraud risk management or financial services
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Familiarity with fraud detection tools and techniques, or a strong willingness to acquire this knowledge
- SQL knowledge and/or experience using Data Visualization tools (Tableau/ Domo) is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to fraud risk management
