**Role Summary**
Mechatronics Technical Centre, a division of Magna International Inc., is looking to expand our team and are looking for a Human Resources professional to provide support to the HR team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintains a professional customer service-oriented manner within the company and supports the corporate image as per Human Resources departmental objectives and company policies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources Department
- Follows and models safe working practices and promotes safety in the workplace
- Assist with preparation for audits and implementation of corrective actions
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly benefit billing reports for payment and coordinates annual over age dependents audit
- Assist with preparation of bi-weekly payroll changes & timesheets
- Track employee purchases of Safety Shoes & Glasses
- Assist in the Coordination of the probationary and co-op performance reviews
- Assist with the development & tracking of training and skills assessments
- Print, copy, distribute & track Job Descriptions on a bi-annual basis for all employees and as required
- Maintains available tools for employee communications (HRConnect, Bulletin Boards, MagnaNow TV, MyLife)
- Supports the coordination of Dortec Social Events, Charity Fundraising and HR Programs, as required
- Liaise with other departments as required (i.e.: payroll)
- Assist employees with general requests/questions
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
**HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Follow the duties and responsibilities specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sections 28.
- Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensure adherence to established safety, quality and housekeeping standards and participate in the continuous improvement process.
- Attends Environmental Health and Safety training
- Adhere to Magna Closures and Dortec health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies and procedures
- Follow compliance obligations
- Report any known near miss, environmental impact, hazard, defect, incident or compliance issue to the employer or supervisor
- Assist in near miss, hazard and incident investigations and provide input on corrective actions
**Key Qualifications/Requirements**
- Working towards a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management
- Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communications skills: verbal, written, listening
- Ability to build relationships with & service the customer (internal)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work efficiently individually, as well as in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to work under pressure
