We're looking for you to join our team as a** Events Specialist, Milestone Programs** in **Toronto or Montreal.**

**The Employee Experience Centre of Excellence (COE) within the National HR team concentrates on pivotal moments in the talent development journey, spanning performance development, employee engagement, leadership programs, and employer brand initiatives. Collaborating closely with functional and geographic HR teams, as well as other Business Enablement Services (BES) units, the Employee Experience team devises and implements innovative programs to elevate the overall employee experience.**

As the Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and planning of our suite of Leadership Milestone Programs that are a blend of virtual and in person learning and range from yearlong programs to multi
- day events. Acting as the primary liaison both internally and externally, you'll play a key role in project planning, vendor management, and logístical coordination. Your duties include event preparation, including venue sourcing and contract negotiation, as well as overseeing on-site operations, technical production, and team management. Additionally, you'll contribute to marketing material production and budget management while staying abreast of the latest event technologies and tools. With your keen attention to detail and client-focused mindset, you'll provide valuable support and innovative ideas to enhance the overall event experience.**What we're offering**:

- Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification in marketing, project management, hospitality, or equivalent experience as an event coordinator/specialist
- Experience in meeting/event planning for large scale employee programs, ideally in a HR/Learning capacity at a national level
- Tech savvy; with demonstrated experience working event conference tech platforms and proven ability to trouble shoot alongside IT support
- Superb communicator with the ability to connect and build relationships with internal stakeholders and with external vendors
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in MS office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
