Overview

AvantDerm is a unique dermatology clinic in Toronto's Distillery District. We are the first in Canada to offer patients with a referral a daily walk-in option and we also provide full-service dermatology: medical, cosmetic and clinical trials. We're adding to our team and looking for a confident and skilled Call Center Representative working with our Patient Experience team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

- Passion for helping people
- Demonstrated ability to interact with patients, nurses and doctors in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide exceptional customer service to all parties for a busy and fast-paced walk-in clinic
- Call Center experience an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Multitasking, empathy and sociability, effective listening, flexibility to change, organization, customer centric, desire to serve, agility under unexpected events/strain, clear communicator, desire to learn
- Ability to work in tandem with other medical receptionists and support staff
- Adept at managing patient expectations and maintaining composure when difficult situations arise
- Organized and punctual
- Ready to do what's needed to deliver outstanding first-point-of-contact service to patients

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous call center & medical industry experience would be an asset
- Strong Computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a fast paced, team based environment
- Knowledge of EMR software is an asset - OSCAR preferred
- Medical Office Assistant certificate or equivalent is a plus
- Interpersonal skills galore: friendliness, likability, professionalism, understanding, confidentiality

AvantDerm is located downtown in Toronto's Distillery District at 45 Mill Street.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M5A 3R6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Call center: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
