**Job Summary**

As the Director of Ancillary Services, the primary goal is to elevate student and client satisfaction while fostering revenue growth. This position requires dynamic, strategic leadership that is both independent and proactive. The Director is tasked with guiding the division toward innovative practices and directions, ensuring services not only meet but exceed expectations.

The responsibilities of this role are extensive, covering a wide array of critical functions. These include managing the Food Services Contract, Student Residence Operations, Rental of College Facilities, and spearheading Entrepreneurial Revenue Generation Activities. The Director also oversees the McIntyre Performing Arts Centre, Special Events and Conference Services, the Campus Kiosk program, Summer Camp, the ONE Card system, Campus Print Solutions, Bookstore Operations, and Banking Services, which encompass the ATM contract and the on-campus bank branch.

Leading a diverse team of 42, including administrative staff, support personnel, contracted workers, and student employees, the Director ensures smooth and efficient operations across various sectors and locations, including the Fennell, Stoney Creek, and IAHS Campuses.

Occupying a pivotal role within the college's senior administration, the Director significantly contributes to the broader management of the institution. Offering key insights and advice to the Chief of Business Services, the Director ensures strategies align with the college's strategic objectives, making a significant impact on the institution's success and direction.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Oversee all administrative functions within the division, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency**
- ** **Lead and provide strategic direction to key managerial positions including the Manager of Conference Services, Manager of the ONE Card office, and Manager of Bookstore Operations.
- Offer expert advice and consultation to the Chief, Business Services on issues pertinent to student government and aligning with the strategic objectives of the College.
- Engage actively in the Senior Management Team (SMT), collaborating with the President, Vice Presidents, Deans, and Directors on strategic planning and key administrative decisions.
- Foster respectful and continuous communication channels with SMT members to enhance collaboration and decision-making.
- Formulate and execute annual goals and objectives for the division, driving forward its mission and vision.
- Recruit, oversee, and appraise management staff and direct reports, ensuring a high-performing team that meets the division's goals.
- Optimize the use of departmental resources—human, physical, and financial—adapting allocations as needed to meet strategic demands.
- Adhere to the Support Staff Collective Agreement, ensuring all terms are respected and implemented.
- Champion training and professional development within the division to foster growth and excellence among staff.
- Manage the division's budget, particularly in areas related to Business Development and Retail, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic investment.
- Assume responsibility for budget planning, including the exploration of alternative staffing and funding models to meet financial objectives.
- Set and achieve revenue targets for ancillary operations and revenue-generating activities, contributing to the financial health of the College.
- Conduct detailed analysis and monitoring of budget expenditures across various cost centers, ensuring efficient use of funds.
- Participate in College-wide standing and ad-hoc Committees, contributing valuable insights and leadership as required.

**Lead and enhance the operations of campus retail outlets (Campus Store, Buy The Book, and on-campus Banking Services)**
