**As our new Director of Environmental Services joining our Village of Wentworth Heights in Hamilton, ON, you will**:
Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents. Our Directors of Environmental Services work as key members of our leadership team to support our self-directed environmental services team members in providing excellent maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping services to our residents.

Directors of Environmental Services support the environmental team in HR-related functions as well as quality improvement programs. They are responsible for monitoring the environmental services budget, tracking and analyzing trends, conducting audits, and participating in Village-wide committees and working groups.

Our Directors of Environmental Services support our neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams in understanding residents’ individual needs. They provide training, leadership, and guidance in matters relating to infection control and emergency procedures, and manage inventory and supplies.

Directors of Environmental Services at Schlegel Villages foster exemplary relationships with residents, their families and support the Village team in focusing on flexible living and quality of life.

**To be successful as our new Director of Environmental Services, you will**:

- Possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field
- Have three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting
- Be excited by our objectives, our Village philosophy and the family values that shape all aspects of life in a Schlegel Village
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Director of Environmental Services role

**It would be an asset if our new Director of Environmental Services has**:

- Knowledge of best practices relating to maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Health & Safety
