ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of Revenue & Data Specialist plays a key role in supporting the department in areas of finance, legal and operations. The role requires an understanding of licensing processes and how the area interacts with other departments. The role requires a high degree of organization, to research, analyze and deliver licensing and royalty information to various stakeholders. This role requires strong prioritization and communication skills to effectively keep stakeholders updated.
WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
**Legal**:
- Support or provide documentation for Copyright Board related matters (Hearings, Tariffs)
- Support or provide documentation for Royalty Collections related matters (Litigation, Agreements)
- Support the Paralegal team on requirements for accounts identified for legal pursuits
**Finance**:
- Update and manage a process for Accounts Receivables in the department (Traditional, Digital)
- Liaise with 3rd party collections to effectively escalate and reduce the amount of receivables
- Coordinate and effectively use case management to manage financial transactions in Epicor (Write Off, Write Back, Refunds)
**Operations**:
- Manage and maintain customer accounts in accounts receivable including all customer contact and correspondence pertaining to existing customer accounts
**Projects and Initiatives**:
- Assist and support operational efforts surrounding royalty rate and calculation changes (Adjustments)
- Assist and support operational efforts surrounding Audits (Internal/External)
- Assist and support system updates and transitions (Epicor, Spanish Point, Teams)
**Other Stakeholders**:
- Support or provide documentation as needed from other departments or stakeholders upon request
WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong accounting and financial skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication - written and oral
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Project Management is an asset, but is not required
- Knowledge of tariffs, licensing and copyright is an asset
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset, but is not required
