Our client, a trusted supplier of high-quality safety supplies and equipment, is located in Alberta and serves clients throughout Western Canada. With a focus on durable products and exceptional customer service, they are committed to helping their clients find the products they need. They are a small but dedicated team, seeking a driven leader to help grow and take their business to the next level.
We are looking for an experienced **Senior Sales & Operations Manager**to lead and grow all sales efforts while ensuring the company’s operations run smoothly. This role is ideal for a leader who understands the safety supplies, industrial parts and tools industry, with a strong background in sales growth, team development, and operational excellence. You will work closely with the existing sales team, refine sales strategies, and expand their customer base. Additionally, you will spearhead the adoption of technology to improve their online presence and drive overall business success.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor, and guide the sales team by setting clear targets and growth strategies;
- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales talent to strengthen and grow the inside sales team;
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices;
- Utilize technology to streamline operations, optimize sales processes, and enhance the company's website to increase online and direct sales;
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams and business opportunities to drive growth and enhance the company’s market position;
- Provide insights on industry trends and changes, and work with the owner to develop strategies to mitigate fluctuations and adapt to evolving market conditions;
- Monitor current inventory management practices and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure optimal supply levels;
- Develop and execute growth strategies that align with company objectives, including entering new markets and deepening existing customer relationships;
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction;
- Align with the company’s casual, down-to-earth company culture while driving business objectives with energy and innovation.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or branch management in the safety supplies, industrial parts and tools sector or related industry;
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing sales teams, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets;
- Strong understanding of industrial tools, equipment, and parts;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients;
- Experience using CRM systems, sales tools, and technology to enhance business operations;
- Familiarity with online sales strategies, website management, and digital marketing;
- Ability to travel to client sites on an as needed basis;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and casual work environment.
