**Position Purpose**:
Reporting to the Director, Alumni Engagement and Community Partnerships, the Project and Development Officer is responsible for supporting the development and ongoing management of a portfolio of strategic business relationships and partnerships.

The Project and Development Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of key projects and activities related to the corporate partnership fundraising process.

They are responsible for managing all organizational and logístical aspects of the partnership cycle, such as planning and coordinating the cultivation and solicitation of corporate prospects; research and communications with prospects; managing proposal development; all administrative operations related to finalizing gifts and sponsorship; as well as ensuring the proper recognition and stewardship of the corporate donors.

They ensure that all logístical, administrative, and collaborative aspects of the corporate partnerships are successfully delivered while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders involved and providing a positive experience for the partners.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:
Supports the Corporate Development Team, by implementing a fundraising strategy for each priority project.

Assists in the preparation for the solicitation of major gifts, and participates in the prospect management process in order to maximize revenue generation to the University’s top funding priorities.

In collaboration with the Corporate Development Team, produces appropriate fundraising materials (such as proposal, letter of intent) that will be prepared for each major project.

Liaises with faculties/departments and donors, assists in meeting the needs and priorities of the faculty, as well as the interests of individuals, corporations and foundations.

Assists with the preparation of meetings, including conducting basic research, drafting briefing notes and scheduling meetings with prospects for the senior team of the Development and Engagement Office and other personnel.

**What you will bring**:
Undergraduate degree, preferably in business, economics arts, or similar.

Minimum of three years of fundraising or related experience

Proven experience in administration and project management

Proven ability to synthesize information from various sources, and work in a dynamic professional environment

Ability to deal with the public, senior officials and high-profile stakeholders

Sound judgement, with excellent listening, negotiating, problem-solving, priority setting, and organizational skills

Given the personal and private nature of some information on file, must be mature and able to exercise professional discretion.

Proven ability to take initiative and work in collaboration with volunteers/donors.

Superior communication skills in English and French

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
