**Job Summary**

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Federal Business Unit.

In this role, you'll lead major capital building and infrastructure projects, acting as a trusted advisor to our clients and providing technical and project leadership to your team. As a Senior Project Manager at Colliers Project Leaders, you'll be part of a collaborative environment where you can grow professionally and make a real difference in our clients' success.

**Responsibilities**

You will support the development and management of complex major capital projects varying in size and scope in the public sector relating to educational, municipal or other institutional buildings, facilities, and essential infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage various project stakeholders from public and private sectors to represent their best interests regarding contractual and technical issues, manage change, and resolve issues.
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams.
  • Planning and coordinating project management activities including procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope, and record management.
  • Ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to projects.
  • Working with a variety of project management tools such as Microsoft Projects, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
  • Formulating and managing project plans by defining deliverables, identifying and procuring necessary resources, identifying key milestones, and reviewing project progress.

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 7-10 years of experience in project management.
  • Project management experience within the Federal Government is preferred.
  • Exceptional business writing ability and previous experience writing business cases considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications.
  • Must hold or be eligible for Federal Government security clearance at the Secret level.
