Co-op - System Integration - Summer

Ottawa, Canada General Dynamics Missions Systems-Canada Full time

**Responsibilities**:
As a System Integration Student you will conduct root cause analysis and investigate and test technical challenges on a complex system. You will be working on the Land Command Support System (LCSS), which is a highly integrated tactical system composed of communication, networking and information management sub-systems. You will have exposure to various technical areas and learn from SME’s about the system.
- You will develop test plans, cases, procedures and methods for system verification
- Problem solving to understand the cause and effect in complex systems
- Reviewing technical documentation, provide analysis
- Investigating system defects and raise problem reports
- Conducting tests in the lab, collect customer feedback, and collaborate with other product and engineering teams.
- Some work involving Networking and routing, VLANs, Microsoft Applications, radio, voice and data networks and various automation
- Troubleshooting and simulation tools (Robot Framework, Wireshark, CORE, VBS).

Qualifications:

- Some knowledge of DXL (database programming language).
- Some scripting experience would be an asset.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Enthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with minimum supervision.

Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

**Education**
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
