**Job Title**:Women Aiding Women Program Coordinator & Counsellor

**Job Status**:Part-Time (21hrs/week)

**Duration**: April 2024 to March 2025

**Work Schedule**: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

**Location**: Birchmount Head Office - 1160 Birchmount Road, Unit 1A

**Salary Range**:$24.34/hr to $28.53/hr

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Outreach to community members, and organizations to connect with vulnerable women and their immediate family members.
- Provide clients with information/resources, and make appropriate referrals, as needed.
- Provide other services to clients, i.e. interpretation support, hands-on assistance with accessing resources and more.
- Assist clients with general counselling needs on a one-on-one basis.
- Open, file and track client records, including referral information in a confidential manner.
- Provide on-going reports to the Executive Director, based on the assigned reporting schedule, i.e. monthly basis, quarterly basis, etc.
- Prepare a comprehensive final report that provides information, such as client numbers, services provided, case scenarios, and client feedback in a timely manner to submit to the Program Funder.
- Coordinate relevant Wellness Workshops, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

**Qualifications & Competencies**:

- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak and write Tamil fluently is an asset.
- Exemplary problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and changes, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom and more.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in related fields, such as social services OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in providing community services.
- Mental Health First Aid certification is an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, diversity, inclusion and equity and ability to effectively understand and interact with communities and staff from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Upon successful hire, must provide a valid **Vulnerable Sector Check**.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $24.34-$28.53 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
