**Job Posting: Young Women's Leaders Coordinator**
**About Us**:Taking Kids Out of Poverty (TKOP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people from underserved communities. We are committed to providing mentorship, support, and opportunities for leadership development to help young women realize their full potential.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and facilitate a leadership development program for young women aged 10-15 focused on building self-esteem, leadership skills, and community engagement.
- Plan and implement workshops, seminars, and activities to develop leadership competencies, communication skills, and self-advocacy.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to program participants, including goal setting, action planning, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with community partners to provide opportunities for young women to engage in service projects, internships, and other leadership experiences.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for program improvements based on participant feedback and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities, participant progress, and program impact.
- Lead outreach efforts to collaborate with guest speakers and community leaders, utilizing their networks to inspire and educate youth participants.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience working with youth, particularly young women, in a mentorship or leadership development capacity is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support and empower young women from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate program activities and events.
- Experience working with marginalized populations, such as low-income individuals and racialized and black youth. This experience should include understanding their unique needs, challenges, and effective strategies for support and empowerment.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Community/Social Services: 3 years (preferred)
