**Head of Human Resources - DHL Express Canada**

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and join the Canada Management Board as the Head of Human Resources for DHL Express Canada? This leader will be leading and directing the Human Resources function to drive our Motivated People strategy across the organization.

**Reporting to the CEO of DHL Express Canada and based in Toronto, Canada**, the leader who can thrive in this role will:

- Drive and lead the HR function for the country,
- Provide input to and ensure implementation of the HR strategy to fulfill the organization’s resource requirements, through attracting, developing and retaining talent to achieve its current and future strategic objectives in line with country's business strategy, industry best practices and local legal requirements.
- Be encouraged to play an active role supporting the Canada CEO and your functional colleagues as a member of the Canada Senior Management Team.
- Drive transformation and change of HR function to improve the capability of people at all levels of the organization and to ensure HR services are delivered to drive business performance
- Build, organize and develop the HR function's team and processes to deliver on set objectives and people related activities in all key areas: Sourcing, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Learning & Development, HR Administration support and organizational change, etc.
- Develop the deployment of HR strategic plans and achievement of sub-functional goals to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness
- Anticipate, identify and resolve risks or issues to lead successful deployment of HR strategy

- **HR Strategy**: Define, develop & control the implementation of organizational HR strategy for the relevant business divisions to increase organizational capability, taking into consideration long term business plans and industry and market trends.
- **Relationship (Stakeholder) Management**: Ability to use interpersonal styles to create and sustain effective relationships with relevant business partners (e.g. suppliers, joint venture partners, industry groups, competitors, governments, unions) and colleagues that allow for approaches that meet mutual goals and for addressing issues and conflict openly.

- **Negotiation**: Ability to achieve outcomes and solutions that have the support and acceptance of all parties, working constructively through situations of potential disagreements and conflicting interests to ensure underlying relationships remain positive.
- **Business Acumen**: Understand business principles, language and the key commercial levers for the business. Use this understanding to contribute to business decision making. Recognize the importance of data analysis and interpretation in decision making.
- **Change Management**: Ability to lead organization transformation requirements, Manage change processes effectively, Inspire the organization to respond positively to change
- **Organizational Design**: Ability to shape the structures, processes, rewards, metrics and talent with the strategy of the business.
