**Role Summary**:
The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible to carry out a wide variety of duties for the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for the consistent delivery of the department’s day to day support service operation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide instruction, guidance and leadership to his/her Team by assisting in solving day to day problems.
- Responsible for ensuring successful planning, implementation and effective project management for those items specific to the HR department.
- Monitor progress of assigned tasks and ensure they are completed within assigned timelines and provide support and resources when necessary.
- Aids in monitoring/planning departmental budget.
- Assists in annual reviews of Magna’s Total Compensation survey and makes recommendations for results.
- Ensure compliance to all established procedures/standards pertaining to this role and resolve discrepancies/deficiencies where required or appropriate.
- Assist in the development of Continuous Improvement initiative and manage resulting projects to completion and implementation as assigned.
- Carry out performance assessments, establish developmental/training requirements of jobs/Team Members, and implement corrective measures if required in order to sustain effectiveness of services provided.
- Assist/provide appropriate support/direction to HR teams, or members in order to assist them with meeting performance goals, and personal development needs.
- Participate in the ongoing maintenance of unified HR leadership by attending daily communication updates with Department Leader and delegate to Team Members any HR assignments received upon review and collaboration.
- Assist the Department Leader with development of meeting agendas based on daily needs identified through daily operations as required.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of positive Labour Relations strategies.
- Develop and oversee the services of Main Human Resources Office, Human Resources Coordinators and Health and Safety.
- Will support various committees i.e. Joint Health and Safety Committee, Employee Opinion Survey focus groups as requested.
- Act as liaison with external and internal sources pertaining to areas of responsibility.
- Establish and promote the maintenance of safe and healthful working conditions, and recommend ways to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards and improve environmental conditions.
- Plans and co-ordinates activities related to company health and safety, including safety records, accident investigations, WSIB reporting and follow-up, WSIB claims management, emergency procedures, WHMIS etc.

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Must have completed Post
- Secondary education in Human Resources.
- Minimum three years related work experience in Human Resources and/or in a leadership capacity.
- Completion of, or working towards HRPA designation, an asset.
