Russell Hendrix is looking for a driven Business Development Associate to join our street team in **Edmonton**. You’re a proven developer of new business with a passion for new customer acquisition, a sales professional skilled in creating profitable, innovative, operationally responsible, and client-driven solutions; always looking and pursuing new clients and projects. You'll be trusted to sell and close profitable new accounts throughout the Greater Edmonton Area, and so you'll have an extensive background in the foodservice industry, a drive to deliver on goals, excellent communication skills, and are proactive, able to work as successfully on your own as with a team.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Develop new business by leveraging brand and company strengths through networking and lead generation. Continually analyzing market trends to provide customer centric solutions.
- Acquire new clients who are Independently owned restaurants and hospitality venues, for local restaurants, multiple site groups, catering companies, local contract management companies, independent hotels, workforce camps, sporting facilities and more - anywhere people dine away from home.

Your role will include:

- Develop and maintain an agreed upon target list of potential accounts.
- Build strong relationships at every level within the potential client organization.
- Execute each stage of the sales cycle from developing the target list, to connecting with the client, learning their needs, preparing quotes and proposals that provide solutions. Present and close loyalty and purchasing agreements.
- Within the sales process coordinate with internal resources, salespeople, sales leaders, and executives. Once the deal is closed, on board the client and ensure ongoing purchasing from RH by collaborating with co-workers and superiors.
- Ensure smooth and profitable onboarding of new accounts is achieved.
- Maintain professional relationships with the head office and customer; answer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer service.
- Organize and effectively chair meetings with senior executives.
- Once the account is established, assist in transitioning the customer to the salesperson and their territory.
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of all business development opportunities.
- Achieve sales volume targets through solution-based selling & identifying needs of the customer.
- Specify and recommend commercial kitchen equipment based that represent our priority vendor partners.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and MSL on all new customer opportunities to ensure a profitable Distribution Agreement or Customer Loyalty agreement is developed for all potential new customers.

**What You'll Bring**:

- A proven track record acquiring and maintaining new customers.
- An extensive knowledge of or experience in the foodservice industry, including food service operations.
- You may have B2B sales experience, and it would be considered an asset.
- You have experience in networking with high level decision makers, owners and other food service industry professionals.
- You are detail oriented and well organized.
- Your verbal and written communication skills are excellent, including timely follow-up and commitment to deliverables, collaboration and openness to give and receive feedback.
- You have experience in reading and creating customer agreements.
- You have experience in creating, managing, and maintaining 2M$ rolling annualized volume within the active sales pipeline.
- You are proactive, with the ability to work independently towards goals and targets, as well as work successfully within a team.
