Job Title: Accounting Analyst

Reports to: Assistant Controller

Status: 7-Month Maternity Leave Contract with Contract end Bonus (October - May 2025)

**Job purpose**

Support the Assistant Controller in completing day-to-day and month-end closing operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial activities. Primary duties involve assisting with corporate filings and aiding in the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Also, responsibilities include reconciling cash reports, conducting forecasting activities, and reviewing rebates and commissions.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Responsible for assigned set of Balance Sheet account reconciliations and schedules.
- Responsible for assigned set of Income Statement account reconciliations and schedules.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and post journal entries for month-end bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals entries.
- Review assigned inventory/AP/AR reports and prepare associated reconciliations.
- Provide daily cash position report and weekly/monthly cash forecast by coordinating with accounts payable and receivable.
- Support financial and budget reporting.
- Provide monthly analysis of the current budget and forecasting model.
- Back-up for various tasks within the department and other projects/tasks as needed
- Assist with year-end and audit support

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in an Accounting Department doing month-end closing and account reconciliation activities.
- Accounting degree/diploma or working towards accounting designation.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central/D 365, to learn quickly and independently
- Strong Excel skills, including all functions to analyze data and prepare executive analysis
- Responsible, proven ability to meet deadlines, flexible in hours, works independently, manages own learning, self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work with mínimal training leveraging experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
