About the Role

This position needs an analytical, well-educated, knowledgeable, and motivated team-player with strong IT background, work ethic and integrity that will become a key part of “Magna IT” to implement and provide adequate, 24x7 support for FICO (Finance and Controlling). Need to provide support at the time of month end closing to our finance SAP users’ community. Suggest, configure, and implement improvements time to time for FI/CO processes using SAP. Should be able to provide training to users if needed or requested. This role uses business knowledge, IT background, finance & controlling concepts, and good communication skills.

Regular travel 10-15% of the time.

Your Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and gaps not met by the existing systems / implementations. Identify feasible solutions within SAP framework and estimate effort needed to meet those business requirements and gaps. Implement solutions using SAP configuration, master data setup or code and support roll-out projects. Provide day-to-day SAP end-user support. Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge. Complete other duties as required by the Manager from time to time. He/she ensures global support. Time tracking and documentation according to Magna IT standards. Ensures billing of his/her projects and changes. Perform a complete, detailed needs analysis evaluating available applications and identifying opportunities for enhancing existing systems. Design practical, creative, conceptual technical solutions for business requirements balancing appropriate technology, cost and implementation timeline. Develop and adhere to standards for design, coding, testing, change control, code deployment, software controls, configuration management, continuous integration, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of application problems.

Who we are looking for

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar discipline.  A minimum of 3 years working as a business analyst, systems analyst, systems training, systems design, technical support or applications programming. Must worked on FICO modules in SAP and have a good understanding of Finance and Controlling module. Must have an understanding of FICO interaction with most of other SAP modules. 3 to 5 years of SAP FICO experience. Excellent English and Spanish language skills (verbal and written).

Your preferred qualifications

Able to configure and support in FICO (S/4 HANA) modules in SAP. Skilled in SAP Report Writer is a plus. Need to maintain, support, train and enhance the functionality for following SAP modules but not limited to. Review and work up development requests & specs for ABAP programmers to develop customized functionality or reports to meet business requirements. Finance modules: Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & General Ledger Accounting. Controlling modules: Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Product Cost Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Material Ledger and Project Systems Monitor and test all FI/CO processes to ensure solutions are not impacted by other module when upgrades and support patches get implemented or if the process changes in any other module. Previous experience in SAP implementation and development of SAP configurations is preferred. Project and Time Management Skills.
