**Position Title: Manager, Business Development**
**Reports To: National Sales Head**

**Job Purpose**:
Business Development Manager will be responsible for promoting Rhesus's services to a specific client base. An ideal client profile will be developed and targeted to ensure the sales funnel is populated with a base of accounts and to ensure the targets are attained with a reduced sales cycle.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Customer prospect profile maintenance
- Set up qualified appointments for joint sales calls with C.O.O (or designate)
- Take initiative in customer satisfaction via process improvement plans and efficient reporting and flow of information
- Prepare proposals and consult with the C.O.O on solutions
- Provide exemplary customer service and account relationship development
- Participate in marketing programs and events
- Report to C.O.O on customer relationships, pipeline, forecasts, and new prospects monthly
- Take ownership of the identification of potential issues within live accounts and coordinate with operations to take timely and effective action to resolve them.
- Drive adoption of Rhenus products and services within assigned dormant accounts through a continuous increase in value
- Act as the go-to-person for account support and training on all Rhenus products
- Travel required

**Qualifications**:

- University degree, or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible experience
- Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in sales/business development
- Previous experience selling in the logistics industry, specifically in the areas of retail warehousing and distribution, international and domestic freight, priority freight, and high risk/high-value cargo is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of operations and transportation management
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions
- Project management skills are considered an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good financial and business awareness
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
- Strong team leadership and teambuilding abilities
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact

- Excellent planning and resource allocation skills
