Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

The Center of Expertise (CoE) - Recruitment, is working on transformational change initiatives across Manitoba’s provincial health care system. In this newly created position, you would be joining the Provincial Recruitment & Strategy team which plays a key role in the delivery of recruitment services support to Shared Health and to the Service Delivery Organizations (SDOs).

Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Recruitment Support Services, the HR Immigration Specialist is responsible for day-to-day support for managing and processing of immigration files for newcomers who are recruited as potential employees that are internationally recruited for hard-to-fill positions within the Province of Manitoba and for all Service Delivery Organizations (SDOs). This position is responsible for supporting our immigration strategy and building relationships throughout the organization and communities to ensure newly hired foreign nationals are well-positioned to be successful in their roles and can easily transition into life in their new communities.

**Main Function**
- Liaise and closely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in providing recommendations on provincial standards for human resources immigration programs and initiatives.
- Work with applicants in achieving temporary and permanent work permits.
- Stay aboard in changes to legislation as it relates to immigration policies and processes
- Ensure employer compliance is maintained, support training and education to hiring managers.
- Work closely with external settlement providers and organizations who support foreign national programs and initiatives.

**Experience**:

- 3 years experience working in an immigration and/or senior administrative support role preferably in healthcare, human resources and/or law firm setting.
- 2 years’ experience working with Provincial Immigration Programs such as the Provincial Nominee Program is considered an asset.
- 2 years of experience with Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA) processing and documentation required for immigration is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated Intermediate Excel skills (data validation, pivot table creation, chart and graph creation and formula functions).

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Post-secondary certificate/diploma in business, law, administration, human resources or related from an accredited education institution.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:

- Current passport and ability to travel nationally and internationally.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Display professionalism, diplomacy, and a continuous improvement orientation to collaborate with clients and coworkers to provide excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of provincial and federal Labour and Employment Standards and the Canadian Human Rights Act is considered an asset.
