**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain an ongoing understanding of the company’s operations and related HR trends, risks, and issues.
- Support the business in communicating goals, and executing on set priorities and special projects.
- Drive the operational implementation of HR practices to grow and develop Stephenson’s employees.
- Provide guidance to employees and supervisors.
- Build effective relationships across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal leaders and operational employees across the organization to gather feedback and enhance employee programs.
- Research and forecast emerging HR issues and drivers that impact locations across the Company.
- Evaluate the workplace environment and HR programs on a continuous basis to ensure compliance with Employment Standards, AODA, and any relevant government regulations and make recommendations for changes or improvements.
- Promote employee engagement and programs based on feedback and internal data.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and suggest recommendations based on the data.
- Complete legislative reporting requirements.
- Lead less complex incident and employee relations through analysis, investigation, and follow-up.
- Ensure that all new employees are oriented to important and relevant HR programs.
- Support and promote the use of HR technology with all employees.
- Offer ongoing HR-related training and education to support the L&D team.
- Back up to payroll, benefits and recruitment services when required
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of established HR Generalist and HRIS Experience.
- Solid experience in recruiting for a variety of roles (Full/Part Time, Technical/Non-Technical, Hourly/Salary).
- Experience in administering onboarding/orientation programs and training individuals on these programs.
- Employee Relations experience at all levels within an organization using knowledge from the Employment Standards (all Canadian provinces), Common Law, Human Rights, etc.
- Experience in rental services or construction environments is preferred.
