Job Responsibilities_**

**_ Recruitment and Orientation_**
- Prepare, coordinate and deliver orientation to new employees
- Tracking recruitment costs and hires and creating reports as required

**_HR/Benefits Administration_**
- Support the implementation of our new HRIS and serve as one of our Systems Administrators
- Ensure all documentation is completed for new hires
- Track and schedule training
- Send safety certificates of crews to Production staff and general contractors as requested by managers
- File, track and send out calendar invites for all approved time off requests for all three branches, office and field.
- Organize and coordinate various training programs for employees at various levels of the organization
- Responds to employee inquiries
- Employee Relations
- Assist with any inquiries from the field and office regarding employee relations
- Assist with Attendance and Discipline program including ensuring union receives correspondence when applicable

**_Other Duties_**
- Work on HR-related projects as required in collaboration with team members
- Assist with weekly meetings, including producing meeting minutes
- Book travel from time to time for managers
- Responsible for various administrative tasks

**_Job Requirements_**
- 2-4 years’ experience in Human Resources, with some experience in recruitment, ideally in the construction or related industries
- Strong computer skills (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook) and some exposure to HR-systems (e.g., Applicant Tracking systems)
- Ability exercise discretion and use good judgement
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Terrific interpersonal skills
- A great work ethic
