Boston Pizza International is currently seeking a Regional Business Manager (RBM) for the Vancouver Island/Interior Region. The RBM is a member of the Regional Operations team and will work closely with franchisees in developing and growing all aspects of their business. This includes: financial planning & analysis, training, operations, leadership, and local & national marketing initiatives. The RBM will maintain a strong presence in their regional market and act as an effective communication link between Boston Pizza and franchisees.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Franchisee Relations and Support_
- Foster and develop relations within the franchisee community.
- Maintain a strong presence within their designated regional markets.
- Ensure that franchisees are knowledgeable and able to implement all programs and initiatives required to effectively run a Boston Pizza restaurant.
- Maintain a high level of communication with each franchisee on a weekly basis.
- Communicate feedback from the franchisee to appropriate BP department. This includes communicating recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct regional food demos and operations seminars as required.
- Participate at regional franchisee meetings as required.
- Franchisee Profitability_
- Work with franchisee on completing a store specific Business Plan two times a year as part of the business review process.
- Perform store specific business and LSM marketing reviews once per quarter minimum.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Boston Pizza’s P4P financial software.
- Perform monthly (P4P) P&L reviews on each location to assess the financial goals against the franchisees business objectives.
- Initiate action plans and follow-up visits to locations with deficiencies noted as a result of their business review findings.
- Adhere to the business review standards and best practices ensuring quality and consistency within the brand.
- Leading the Perfect Guest Experience _
- Ensure the PGE/PCE program is being implemented in store which includes: implementation of PGE/PCE tools and resources.
- Work with training & development on putting together additional seminars, training sessions and materials that can assist franchisees with team development on improving the Guest experience, culinary excellence, standards and building sales.
- Follow up with franchisees on PULSE results including PGE scorecard and Guest comments.
- Work proactively with franchisees on the resolution of Guest complaints/comments.
- Building the Boston Pizza Brand _
- Assess local store marketing opportunities and develop marketing strategies based on these assessments (as outlined in the store assessment).
- Assist franchisees in evaluation of community inventories, trade area analysis, local promotions and other sales-building tools/opportunities.
- Ensure all national promotions are effectively executed to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with the COE/regional/national marketing team to share ideas and initiatives that will drive sales and improve guest service.
- Ensure local store marketing activities are on-strategy and consistent with the Boston Pizza brand imagery and aligned with the franchisees business objectives.
- Work with the store level Community Relations Coordinator (CRC) in the development and execution of local store marketing opportunities and plans.
- Assist with the ongoing development of the community relations coordinators.
- Participate in community relations coordinator meetings & conferences.

**Qualifications**
- 6-8 years of progressive operations experience that has led to a management position.
- 2-3 years of consumer marketing experience.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial & budgeting knowledge.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong strategic and creative capabilities.
- Ability to analyze data for effective decision-making.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel.
