**Position Description**:

Within the context of the vision, values and strategic operations of the organization, the Administrative Assistant 11 (ADS11) responsibilities include general administrative support, review and processing of purchase requests, and providing contract administrative services which include maintaining and updating contracts and files.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Two-year post secondary diploma in general business administration for basic business skills and product pricing
- Minimum three years related experience in public purchasing administration
- Intermediate skill level required for MS Word and Excel
- Clerical testing may be required as part of the selection process
- Experience with a finance/procurement system i.e. HEMM
- Must be able to complete all mandatory training as per hospital policy including WHMIS, Code Responses, Policies and Procedures, etc
- Effective communication skills including timely, responsive and courteous communication with end users, suppliers and team
- Excellent organizational skills for record keeping, documentation, filing, follow up, investigating, etc
- Effective time
- management skills to multi-task when situations warrant and to meet deadlines on a daily basis
- Works collaboratively with others in a participative environment; but independently on own assignments
- Attention to detail to minimize errors when inputting data with a focus on quality output.
- Demonstrates initiative in order to anticipate the outcome of actions when following through on administrative duties
- Stays current and maintains knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and practices within BPS Directives
- Punctual, good attendance and demonstrated ability to maintain a safe work environment

Hourly: $28.82...$30.09...$31.36 (plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
