- **PROJECT OVERVIEW**

As is its accountability, Cyber Security and Risk Management Branch is becoming increasingly involved with Privacy and is responsible for ensuring Privacy Impact Assessments are completed in a timely manner and appropriate privacy guidance is provided to projects, including those involving our critical information assets, when needed.

**DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES**
- Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Performing Privacy Maturity Model Assessments, if/when requested.
- Providing guidance to the Branch and its clients on privacy legislation and requirements.
- Supporting breach responses for incidents involving privacy.
- Conducting privacy focus groups and/or information sessions.
- Liaise with Government’s Access and Privacy Officers to further strengthen maturity.
- Creating and reviewing privacy policies and procedures, if/when necessary.
- Preparing and delivering privacy training, if/when necessary.
- Other privacy-related tasks as determined through engagement in future initiatives.

Familiarity with the Government of Saskatchewan, or comparable entity, technical and business landscape will be evaluated.

**MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**
- Demonstrated working experience with Federal and Provincial privacy laws and requirements. These could include be, though is not necessarily limited to, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Acts and The Health Information Protection Acts.

**DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS (Note: These requirements will be heavily weighted during evaluation)**
- Local Knowledge (i.e., prior expereince working with Government of Saskatchewan or similar entities)
- Demonstrated working experience with Federal and/or Provincial privacy laws and requirements.
- Demonstrable experience developing and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments at a Provincial and/or Federal government level in complex projects.
- Demonstrable experience with utilizing a privacy by design approach (or equivalent) to participating in the design and implementation of a solution.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to the design and assessment of solutions that include biometrics.
- Demonstrable experience performing research and analysis used to inform recommendations to advance privacy protection.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing project proposals, initiatives and proof of concepts to identify information access and privacy issues and opportunities (e.g. duplication of data, security and privacy, enhance the quality and use of information).
