About the Role

eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking a skilled professional to manage the eHealth Privacy Service and serve as the first point of contact for the public of Saskatchewan. As a public-facing role, you will assist clients with privacy questions, access to information requests, and requests to mask personal health information.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, responding to access to information requests and managing deliverables and deadlines as outlined in The Health Information Protection Act (HIPA) and The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to questions and concerns from Saskatchewan residents
  • Process and respond to access to information requests
  • Investigate privacy incidents and complaints
  • Interpret and apply privacy and access to information legislation
  • Develop privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree in health information, social science, or public administration, and 1-3 years of experience working with Saskatchewan's privacy legislation or in a similar role within a healthcare environment. Completion of the IAPP certificate through the University of Alberta is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
