Position: Head Chef

Description:
As Head Chef at The Merchant Kitchen, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence, in alignment with Academy Hospitality guidelines. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, sanitation, and staffing, in accordance with company standards.
- Execute inventory management, ordering, scheduling, and menu development, including weekly features, special events, and catering.
- Ensure adherence to food and labor cost targets set by the Executive Chef and partners.
- Foster a culture of mentorship and development among kitchen staff, promoting continuous learning and growth.
- Uphold a positive and safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver a welcoming, enjoyable, and consistent dining experience for guests and staff alike.

Pay and Incentives:

- Competitive salary of $60,000 annually, based on 50 hours per week, with a flexible schedule including mornings, days, and evenings.
- Daily staff meal and participation in tip pool.
- Comprehensive benefits package available after successful completion of a 6-month probation period.
- Two weeks of paid vacation annually.
