As The Counties continues to adjust its workplace to the new economy and progressive work practices, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team and contribute immediately in the role of Payroll Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the role will humanize our approach to payroll processing and delivery.
In addition to being someone who is fanatical in providing customer service, the person will have responsibility for the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, payroll calculations, and generating reports. You will collaborate closely with Human Resource and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll integration and accuracy. Your role will also involve staying updated with the payroll regulations and implementing best practice compliance standard. Additionally, customer service skills that focus on positively addressing payroll-related concerns and ensuring accurate and timely payments, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite will round out this role.
Being tech savvy, and action oriented you would bring with you a Three (3) year degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or related education, and 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a unionized environment where you may have worked with several collective agreement and benefits plans; a combination of experience and education will be considered as well. Adding on to your education and experience, would be the possession of a Canadian Payroll Certification/designation; we’re looking for the right balance of analytical, organizational and customer centered problem-solving skills to round our vision for this position.
