**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with Syspro ERP considered an asset
- University degree in Business/Accounting
- Pursuit of accounting designation considered an asset, but not required
- Proven strengths in critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong systems knowledge and proficient in Excel spreadsheets
- Highly detail oriented
- Exceptional planning, organizing, and communication skills
- Team oriented, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check

**Responsibilities**:

- Review of machine and parts margins
- Update weekly report-out schedules
- Assist in preparing monthly presentation files and performance analysis
- Management of inventories - absorptions/obsolete etc.
- Assist in the planning, testing, and implementation of a standard costing system
- PPV - Monitor raw material prices paid v. standards
- Controlling and reporting factory overheads
- Assist in driving month end close
- Assist in developing internal reports for multiple levels of management
- Participation in annual budget processes
- Identify and communicate cost reduction opportunities
- Identify and analyze financial variances to budget and projections
- Assist in identifying and developing more efficient procedures
- Assist in training new staff
- Work closely with the Controller on key projections such as ERP module implementations
- Maintain and cost machines - materials, labour and overhead setting of annual standard costs
- Special projects as assigned
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve and streamline work related processes and duties as required
