A.R. Thomson Engineered Solutions Inc. (ARTES) location in Red Deer specializes in manufacturing metallic hose, expansion joint products and custom CNC machined product. Our Red Deer location acts as the central hub for engineering services and provides technical expertise for all products and support to sales and manufacturing in all locations.

**Job Summary**

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- **Inspection**: Conduct thorough inspections on pressure fittings, including metal expansion joints, metal hoses, and valves to ensure they meet design drawings and work order requirements.
- **Documentation**: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control processes. Prepare reports and provide recommendations for improvements.
- **Compliance**: Verify that all processes comply with industry standards and certifications, including an ABSA AQP, ISO 9001 and nuclear quality program certifications.
- **Troubleshooting**: Identify and analyze defects or non-conformities in products. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop corrective actions and solutions.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met throughout the manufacturing process.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control procedures and best practices to enhance overall product quality.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Experience with pressure envelope assemblies and weld inspection is highly desirable.
- **Certifications**: Relevant quality control certifications (e.g., CQI, CQA) are a plus.
- **Skills**: Strong understanding of quality control processes and industry standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in inspection and documentation tasks.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Familiarity with testing equipment and techniques used in quality control. Knowledge of ASME, DNV, CSA codes/standards and ISO 9001 is an advantage.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
