Manager of Cruise and Business Development

GENERAL
Founded in 1979, Korite is the world’s largest supplier of high quality Ammolite, a unique and colourful gemstone found exclusively in Southern Alberta. Korite has several lines of business including jewellery, watches, loose gemstones and home decor that contribute to its multi-million dollar portfolio. Korite focuses mainly on a Business to Business sales platform.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
Responsible for executing sales and business plan for Korite’s cruise season with retailers, promotion companies and cruise lines. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working directly with cruise retailers to ensure they have everything needed for success including the correct stock and all necessary display props
- Manage inventory in numerous locations and reconcile regularly
- Identifying gaps in inventory in numerous locations and executing a plan to fill them
- Enter new consignments and keeping track of current consignments
- Work with cruise lines to organize and execute travelling trunk shows
- Work with promotion companies to execute a business plan for the season
- Work with marketing team to execute a marketing plan for the season
- Execute direct sales to retailers
- Ensure Port Lecturers have all necessary brochures and sales tools
- Provide product knowledge training to ambassadors of the Korite brand
- Market and sell products for Government and Corporate gifting
- Follow sales leads, identify and doing research on sales opportunities on a global scale
- Enter sales data into ERP System
- Do trade Show preparations and work at Korite’s booth
- Do sales administration and inventory duties
- Work with retailers to facilitate repairs, customer returns and exchanges
- Be a liaison between clients and our inventory team
- Plan marketing initiatives around key product launches and promotional events, ensuring alignment between retail and other B2B channels
Research and writing on numerous topics as required
Communicating with production staff on current inventory levels
Strong analytical skills with experience reporting on marketing and sales performance for both cruise and gifting channels.
Must have a valid passport and be able to travel within and outside of Canada
Ad hoc projects as required
**EDUCATION & TRAINING**
- Degree considered an asset
**KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**
- Previous sales experience or CSR experience considered an asset
- Cruise experience considered an asset
- NetSuite experience considered an asset
**SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Must be able to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic work environment that may not be always structured
- Proficient in Excel and all other Microsoft Office products
- Able to work independently, motivated self-starter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Must be highly organized with proven reliability to keep track of numerous SKUs in many different locations
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time in office
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year based on previous experience
