Role Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Operations and Compliance, the HR Intern will be delivering high quality administrative support across various teams within the HR function. This Co-op/Internship will provide an exciting opportunity for an individual who is seeking to gain experience within Human Resources and will collaborate across the HR team.

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the Employee File Digitization project for both Toronto and Montreal offices- Create and save electronic employee files in the Human Resource Management System (Workday)- Organize and prepare project plan to complete this project- Tracking the completion of the file digitization project and assisting with the move of employee files- Maintain existing employee paper files and Iron Mountain database- Document and/or update standard operating procedures (SOP’s), checklist and job aids- Support the 5-year background check recertification processes (Bank of Canada/TSX Trust) annually- Travel to the Montreal office on one occasion to complete the Employee File Digitization project

General HR Function:
- Support the HR team move within the Toronto office- Provide support to all areas of the HR team as the need arises including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, and Employee Communications

Must haves:
- Currently studying in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in Human Resources or related field- Strong attention to detail and a high level of discretion when dealing with confidential employee information- Excellent communication both written and verbal- Fantastic organizational and time management skills- Strong decision making and problem solving skills- Ability to handle critical information with integrity and tact
