**SUMMARY**:
The Royal Canadian Yacht Club was founded in Toronto in 1852 to serve both as a yachting recreational club and an unofficial auxiliary of the Royal Navy in the defense of the waters of Lake Ontario. We are one of Canada's premier sailing, sports and social clubs, The RCYC operates year-round from two facilities: our Island Clubhouse on the Toronto Islands and our City Clubhouse in downtown Toronto. With over 4300 Members, we offer extensive services in Food and Beverage along with Fitness, Sports and Sailing facilities.

**DUTIES**:

- Maintain all employee files and update changes as required
- Prepare all employee information for entry into ADP- the Club's payroll system
- Pre-screen resumes received on a daily basis and forward to department Manager
- Draft employment offer letters and prepare new hire employee packages (with the exception of Management level positions)
- Knowledge of updated relevant labour legislations, ESA, OHSA, and WSIB
- Research and provide recommendations for relevant departmental projects as required
- Assist in conducting and assessing departmental initiatives for both City and Island locations
- Attend departmental meetings when required and take minutes
- Prepare Human Resources monthly reports (Attendance, Birthday, GRSP, Service, Turnover, and Vacation)
- Perform all administrative tasks and other related tasks assigned by the Human Resources

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Human Resources experience or studying Human Resources and working toward CHRP certification.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Must be able to keep information confidential.- Knowledge of ESA, OHSA and WSIB.- Knowledge MS Office, Word, Excel.- Customer Service experience an asset.

**HOURS OF WORK**:

- 3-month Contracted position (until end of September)
- 24 to 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

**HEALTH AND SAFETY**:

- Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulation and follow in accordance to the Club’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Report all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss” incidents to your direct reporting Manager immediately
