We are hiring for our customer - a restaurant chain located in Hamilton, ON.

Language of work: English, Cantonese, Mandarin

Job duties:
Manage daily purchasing activities, such as placing purchase orders, answering quotation inquiries from internal user department, making enquiries and comparing suppliers in terms of price, quality, delivery time, guarantee, service support, and availability.
Review and determine requirements and specifications of raw food material, culinary equipments, food processing machines to be purchased.
Support negotiations and invite tenders with suppliers regarding pricing, deliveries, quality to achieve strategic and tactical value on quarterly and annually basis
Manage suppliers, in terms of determining and negotiating contract terms and conditions with suppliers
Manage supplier’s performance. Support developments of supplier assessments, scorecards, and other analytics
Develop duel sourcing by researching and determining potential and 2nd suppliers
Maintain the supplier database, contract duration, purchase records and related documentations.
Continually improve processes for purchasing process and managing inventory.
Preparing cost-benefit analysis monthly reports and supplier performance report for review by managers
Support various R&D and innovation projects within August 8 group.
Train clerks about purchasing policy and food safety requirement.
Set and enforce a budget for the purchasing department

Skills requirements:
Experience: One to two years minimum.
Education: Bachelor's Degree minimum.
Fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese
Demonstrated effective analytical, strategic and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated skill and commitment to working cooperatively and collaboratively with your team, colleagues, and suppliers.
Proficient with Computers and experienced with MS Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent business management/development, planning, organizing and negotiation skills.
Effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
