60k salary + benefits, 3 month probation

**Summary**

Modern Design Studio is a design and development firm specializing in delivering bespoke solutions for our customers and clients. The bookkeeper is responsible to record all company spending, including purchases, invoices and sales and provide accurate information on company outgoings for the purposes of filing accounts. The bookkeeper reports directly to the founder and office manager.

Modern Design Studio is broken down into 2 types of businesses:
1. **Design and Construction**:Job Costing, Budget Tracking, Interim Invoicing, Weekly balancing of P&L, Daily/Monthly Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, payments via ACH debits, transfers and bill pays.

2. **Restaurant and Event Spaces**:Food costing, Employee Tip Outs, Weekly balancing of P&L, Daily/Monthly Bank Reconciliation, Weekly Sales analysis of sales, payments via ACH debits, transfers and bill pays.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Accountable for delivering an accurate trail of company spending
- Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed
- Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
- Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
- Managing client invoices & payments
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts
- Working closely with accountants to prepare tax returns
- Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested
- Managing & filing relevant government documentation
- Reconcile accounts
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Calculate and prepare biweekly payroll for submission to bank
- BiWeekly expense and mileage reimbursement
- Tip outs weekly
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

**Requirements**:

- Degree or diploma in accounting or numerical background
- Proficient in data entry and strong bookkeeping skills
- Experience in QuickBooks software (or similar) and Office 365 (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Possess first-rate numerical skills
- Solid organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with individuals across the business
- Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00 per year
