The Primary Care Planning and Implementation Oversight - Vancouver Island Team is a dedicated and collaborative group of eight professionals, including two regional managers, a senior program developer, four program analysts, and a director. This established team plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the Primary Care Network for the citizens of British Columbia. They work closely with regional directors, the Ministry, Health Authorities, and Primary Care Networks, all while fostering an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to improving healthcare outcomes.

**The Role**
As the Regional Director, you will lead and manage the planning and implementation of the provincial primary care strategy across your assigned region. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful and immediate impact on the health and well-being of citizens throughout British Columbia. **Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as, Public Administration, Health or Social Services or Business Administration, related field or equivalent. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training may be considered.
- One (1) year or more of experience in launching new initiatives (e.g., Digital Healthcare, program leadership and delivery).
- Three (3) years or more of demonstrated experience in each of the following areas:

- In Design Thinking methodology and approach (e.g. user/patient-centered design).
- In Agile Delivery methods (e.g. scrums, sprints, adaptable and flexible ways of working, iterations through learning).
- In stakeholder relations with external partners.
- In developing options/recommendations for senior management and managing/leading major projects in a multi-project environment.
- Establishing collaborative relationships and leading change.
- In planning and coordinating complex projects/assignments.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory/management including resolving complex staff and/or client issues.

**Preference may be given to applicants who have**:

- Experience working directly with Indigenous communities or organizations.
- Experience in the health sector.

**PROVISO**
- Must possess and maintain a valid class FULL BC Driver’s license (minimum Class 5) with no restrictions or equivalent (i.e., from another Canadian Province).

**WILLINGNESS STATEMENTS**:

- Travel, as necessary, is a requirement; therefore, transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Ministry.
- May be required to use your own vehicle, with appropriate insurance, on an expense account basis.
- May be required to travel in adverse (reasonable) weather conditions.
- This position requires irregular work hours, including some evenings and weekends.
