- As a Tactical Crime and Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing information from a variety of sources and making recommendations to address crime and social disorder problems. Specific duties of the position include:

Collect, summarize and interpret data and information to produce intelligence and operational enforcement documents aimed at advancing operations and investigations, producing leads and identifying possible offenders.
- Create queries and visualizations (Structured Query Language (SQL), Power Business Intelligence (BI), ArcGIS PRO) on data to advance investigations.
- Perform tactical analysis utilizing a variety of analytical tools such as ArcPRO, Power BI and i2.
- Produce/Present written and oral recommendations and provide presentations on identified priorities.
- Conduct social network analysis (SNA) and production order analysis to determine viable considerations for investigation, enforcement, and further information collection and development.
- Prepare comprehensive analytical packages, briefs and assessments of crime issues based on criminal incidents, series and trends.
- Facilitate criminal prosecution by generating written and graphic material to enhance the understanding of the investigative process.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with internal units, as well as appropriate external agencies, to gather and disseminate information and analysis.
- Liaise with partners and external agencies to identify crime trends and movement from the municipal, regional, national, and international level.

**Qualifications**

- A degree in Data Science, Social Science, Spatial Analysis or a related field with at least 3 years of demonstrated research and analytical experience; OR Master’s degree with at least 1 year analytical experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research, formulate/ test hypotheses and provide recommendations.
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Power BI and ArcGIS PRO are required.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in a law enforcement or public safety context.
- Proficiency with Sentry, Palantir, SQL and i2, are considered an asset.
- Previous experience in writing/presenting tactical recommendations/intelligence analysis is preferred.
- Analytical thinking, change management, coaching & development, communication, efficiency & thoroughness, focus on results, and relationship building.

**Working Conditions**:Some evening and weekend work hours may be required. As well, you may be required to be on-call and/or called in to work outside of your normal business hours.

**Pre-employment Requirements**An enhanced security clearance and pre-employment polygraph will be conducted.
