**Coordinator, Residence Life (Contract)**

**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Residence Managers, the Coordinator, Residence Life will be part of a team to develop a supportive, engaging, and inviting residence community. The incumbent will support the housing program, including working with the Dean of Students and Residence Managers to identify and expand residence and student-focused programs. The Coordinator, Residence Life will assist the Residence Managers and act as the first point of contact for programming and student engagement within the residence community at Huron.

The Coordinator, Residence Life will also participate in the recruitment of Housing Staff and volunteers and work collaboratively with the team to plan and support initiatives for the residence community.

**COMPENSATION**:
The Coordinator, Residence Life will receive a compensation package as follows:

- Single-occupancy accommodation within our Huron residences valued at $12,600;
- A partial meal plan valued at $3,282.65 from September to April to be enjoyed at the Huron Dining Hall.

**This is a full-time contract position until May 30th, 2025, with a possibility of extension.**

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- The Coordinator, Residence Life will be required to live on campus in a Huron residence from August to April. Accommodations will be provided year-round, dependant on contract extension.
- This position will require work outside of the traditional hours of work including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited post-secondary institute; commensurate experience will also be considered.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in a post-secondary residence program;
- Knowledge of post-secondary student transition, community building strategies, student management, etc. in a residence life/housing program;
- Knowledge and understanding along with the ability to interpret the student life cycle;
- Excellent organizational, time management skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines;
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, customer service oriented, excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision.

**PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) preferred;
- Experience with StarRez Software preferred;
- Experience living in a post-secondary residence is considered an asset.
