We are looking for our next Disability Service Representative to join a team that administers the Teachers’ Long-Term Disability Plan - a Plan that provides disability income for Saskatchewan teachers who are unable to work due to sickness or injury. **What is the Role**
You will have many opportunities to make a difference in the lives of teachers as you provide information regarding the long-term disability plan and the specifics of their claims. This position will appeal to individuals who care about the details and are very caring, supportive and empathetic.

**What You Will Do**
- Provide prompt and courteous service by dealing sensitively and empathetically with claimants and/or their representatives; provide accurate information and technical explanations related to Plan provisions.
- Monitor status of pending and existing claims.
- Monitor receipt of documentation required for adjudication and follow up with claimants, doctors, employers, and others when necessary.
- Assist in the entering of review requirement documentation into the LTD claims administration system.
- Update LTD claims administration system with approval dates, reminders, and notes.
- Communicate to claimants, through written correspondence and verbally, results of adjudication meetings including approval/denial of claim, period of entitlement, expectations, and requirements for further review.
- Prepare and distribute the claims committee agenda and agenda supplements.
- Attend claims committee meetings and record, format and distribute minutes.

**What You Will Bring**
- 1-2 years of post-secondary education plus a Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation or equivalent and 2-3 years of benefits administration experience. Consideration will be given to those who do not have a designation or benefits experience, as training will be provided; however, the incumbent will be encouraged to enroll and successfully complete the requirements of the GBA designation.
- Demonstrated initiative in undertaking assignments.
- Ability to complete work within strict timelines.
- A strong mathematical aptitude.
- Strong Word, Excel and general computer skills.
- Demonstrated effective client-service and interpersonal skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- High work standards related to information accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
- A good knowledge of office procedures and practices.
