**Job Description**:
The information management specialist must develop and maintain an IM plan while ensuring interaction and coordination of other interfacing projects, while supporting staff from various Military, Public Service and Contractor teams.

Specific tasks to be accomplished include but not restricted to:

- Gather and consolidate IM requirements for projects
- Develop and maintain an information architecture that assists sub sections and aligns with the overall information architecture concept
- Provide Data architecture, advice and testing. Specifically shaping solutions to adopt industry data management best practices and, where appropriate, military standards
- Develop, maintain, and contribute to an information management plan that interacts with different information management tools such as, but not limited to, RDIMS, MS-Office 365 and SharePoint
- Provide information management support and advice to all project stakeholders and EMT personnel
- Participate in and coordinate project related meetings and working groups; and
- Liaise and coordinate with other projects and client IMOs

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Computer Science or Information Management; or suitable engineering or technical field
- Experience as an Information Architect on Military Command and Control Software systems
- Experience in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering (i.e. System, software, computer, database, communication, security, or simulation)
- Experience with client/server architecture and related technologies
- Experience in data architecture definition, framework and implementation for military systems
- Experience with system integration: hardware and software, (COTS and/or custom developed) components into new or existing systems
- Experience in system life-cycle management
- Experience in business process improvement and knowledge of business intelligence tool-sets
- Experience in training and support materiel
- Experience with information management strategies and processes in support of change management activities
- Communicating information technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff
- Training plan with the ability to clearly communicate, in writing and orally
- Providing advice, guidance, and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks or strategies
