**The opportunity**:
Reporting to the Business Manager, CLSP, the Recruitment & Communications Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting Standardized Patient Actors (SPs), advertising and promoting employment opportunities within the Standardized Patient Program, maintaining a program presence in the community, managing a pool of 500+ casual SP actors, and maintaining regular communication with the casual SP actors. This position will collaborate with the Business Manager and Standardized Patient Educators and will be the first line of communication with SP actors and will assist in scheduling SP actors for events. They will provide organization and supervision of SP actors during high stakes exams. This position will also participate in communicating the availability and awareness of the CLSP in general. This is a new position, and the responsibilities may be adapted from time to time to meet the needs of the SPP and CLSP.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Related undergraduate degree, certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
- 1 year of directly related work experience in the areas of business administration, marketing or human resources is required.
- Demonstrated experience in communications, including use of social media and public speaking is required.
- Experience with recruitment of staff or event participants.
- Knowledge of University regulations, programs and procedures is an asset.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends and maintain a flexible schedule based on program needs required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of internal and external contacts is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate, work, and develop meaningful relationships with diverse groups required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships is required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills (public speaking), with the ability to provide advice and develop and present informational and written materials are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in a diplomatic, firm but tactful manner is required.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate and establish work priorities and deadlines, with mínimal supervision is required.
- Ability to make sound independent judgments and utilize problem-solving abilities required.
- Ability to set goals and meet deadlines under pressure with changing priorities required.
- Ability to respond quickly, adapt working plans and demonstrate flexibility in response to change required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
